A long-standing and growing electrical contractor in South Florida is seeking a
Senior Electrical Estimator
to join its expanding team. With a diverse portfolio of large-scale commercial and industrial projects—including hospitals, airports, stadiums, and government facilities—this company offers a stable environment, strong leadership, and a culture of longevity, where many employees have been with the company for over a decade.
Position Summary The Senior Estimator plays a key role in supporting the pre-construction process, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience and a passion for mentorship and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates for electrical projects
Collaborate with project managers and purchasing teams to ensure seamless transitions from estimate to execution
Generate bills of material and ensure accuracy in estimating data
Conduct job site visits and field walk-throughs for constructability reviews
Present bids and proposals to clients, representing the company professionally
Mentor junior estimators and collaborate with the estimating team on complex proposals
Use estimating software and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation
Requirements
5–7+ years of experience in electrical estimating, focused on commercial or industrial projects
Proficiency with Accubid or similar estimating software
Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) and local codes
Experience estimating projects in sectors such as healthcare, aviation, stadiums, or large-scale commercial construction
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (electrical, architectural, mechanical, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus, but not required
