Position Summary The Executive Director, Market Finance provides strategic leadership and oversight for financial planning and analysis functions by managing a team of directors, managers, and financial analysts within the Market Finance organization. Provides guidance on financial strategy, delivers insightful reporting & analytics, and collaborates with Field Operations to drive financial improvement and achieve business objectives. Also ensures accurate financial reporting and contributes to strategic planning and risk assessments.
What You Will Do
Lead the analysis of Store Financial Performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis by providing insights and recommendations to senior field leadership (SVP, VP) based on financial data and trends.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the financial impact of various business scenarios and help guide strategic decisions.
Create sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision‑making and long‑term financial planning.
Analyze the financial performance of Divisions, States, or Markets; also analyze lines of business (Front Store, Pharmacy) and expenses (Payroll), identifying areas of improvement and growth opportunities.
Establish financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
Required Qualifications
15+ years work experience
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Adept at business intelligence
Adept at collaboration and teamwork
Strong analytical capabilities and analytical tool familiarity
Mastery of problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior related Retail or Operations Finance experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field required
Master’s preferred
Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is: $131,500.00 - $303,195.00.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
