Senior Mechanical Engineer – Energy Solutions – CMTA Join CMTA, Inc., a rapidly growing engineering firm specializing in sustainable, high‑performance building engineering. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to expand our Energy Solutions division.

Responsibilities

Lead all phases of performance contracting projects from conception to completion.

Serve as primary client contact and identify new opportunities.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business.

Participate in business development efforts, including client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.

Lead site visits, audits, and energy calculations during the development phase.

Direct the engineering design team to produce drawings and specifications.

Oversee the bidding process to ensure quality and competitiveness.

Collaborate with clients to finalize performance contracts.

Work with construction managers to ensure smooth construction implementation.

Lead the commissioning process to validate performance.

Support clients through warranty periods as needed.

Develop first‑year Measurement & Verification reports in partnership with M&V professionals.

Ensure alignment with state K‑12 Design‑Build procurement requirements.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years with an Energy Services company or consulting engineering/commissioning firm.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.

Desired Skills

Business development and client relationship management.

Familiarity with state K‑12 Design‑Build procurement.

Project management, construction coordination, engineering design, HVAC design, and commissioning.

Strong communication and presentation skills.
