Position Description We’re seeking a skilled Delphi Developer to support the development and enhancement of Department of Veteran Affairs solutions. This senior role will develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end applications.
Minimum Experience 10 years of Delphi development experience.
Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Excellent experience with Embarcadero Delphi 10.3
Strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, OO)
Proficient with Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
Experience in full project life cycles
Knowledge of software configuration management (SCM)
Familiarity with testing tools and writing unit and integration tests
Commitment to quality and security standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team‑oriented and client‑facing collaboration
Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and GitHub (preferred)
Exposure to CMMI Level 3, ISO 9001:2015 (or 9001:2001), and ITIL (preferred)
General Physical Requirements
Remote assignment
Sedentary work, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
Typing and repetitive motions
Good visual acuity for computer monitors and presentations
Work in a protected indoor environment
Security Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust.
Federal Civilian Public Trust
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident with at least 3 years of residence in the U.S.
Comprehensive security investigations including OPM SII, DOD DCII, NAC, FBI checks, credit report, and reference inquiries.
Additional checks: court records, education verification, and law enforcement background.
Tasks / Activities
Follow VA technical frameworks and guidance.
Use GitHub, ServiceNow, and Jira for development and tracking.
Design and contribute to solution architecture.
Develop code independently and participate in code reviews.
Write and execute unit tests.
Maintain existing applications and implement new functionality.
Modify software logic, database schemas, and metadata as required.
Support defect management, code plans, and reporting.
Estimate time and resources for tasks or projects.
Apply Agile practices: daily scrums, sprint planning, build planning.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
Document necessary changes and collaborate across teams.
Support development team and mentor junior developers.
Compensation & Benefits The annual projected pay range is $100,000 – $125,000, based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, supplemental coverage (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital), and a 401(k) plan.
