A respected regional law firm is seeking a skilled
Business Litigation/Bankruptcy Associate
to join its Kansas City team. The ideal candidate will have
3+ years of experience
with a strong background in
creditor rights , including replevins, suits on notes and guaranties, and foreclosure matters. Active licenses in
Missouri and Kansas
are required.
What You'll Do
Manage replevin actions to recover personal property from borrowers, including drafting petitions, obtaining judgments, and coordinating delivery/eviction when necessary.
Prepare and prosecute suits on promissory notes and guaranties to secure judgments.
Order and review title reports and provide advice to clients.
Handle judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions, including drafting pleadings, coordinating publications, and conducting sales.
Maintain strong client relationships with consistent communication and high-quality legal advice.
Oversee case progression to ensure efficient and successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in bankruptcy, creditor rights, and related litigation.
Licensed in both Missouri and Kansas.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to manage case activities independently while thriving in a collaborative team.
Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
