About the Company A privately held real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its U.S. legal team based in Fort Worth, Texas. The company manages a diverse portfolio spanning hospitality, multifamily, office, and mixed-use assets across major U.S. markets, with several billion dollars in assets under management. Known for its long‑term investment strategy and collaborative culture, the firm partners with institutional and high‑net‑worth investors to deliver innovative, high‑quality real estate projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with business leaders, asset managers, and investment professionals on high‑value transactions and corporate matters within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

About the Role

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and real estate agreements, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and loan documents.

Support transactional due diligence, closings, and post‑closing integration activities.

Advise on entity formation, governance, and compliance matters, including resolutions, consents, and investor documentation.

Collaborate with internal teams on subscription agreements, investor assignments, and financing arrangements.

Oversee and coordinate outside counsel for litigation and specialized legal projects.

Partner with finance, accounting, and operations to ensure business decisions align with legal and regulatory requirements.

Provide practical, solutions‑oriented advice to senior stakeholders on a variety of corporate and operational issues.

Participate in strategic discussions involving investments, risk management, and portfolio operations.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.

1–3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, ideally with exposure to real estate transactions, development, or investments.

Working knowledge of real estate, corporate, and contract law, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.

Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and strong business acumen.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in a document‑driven environment.

Experience managing due diligence and transaction closings is highly preferred.
