The Children's Cabinet The Provider Professional Development Out-of-School Time (OST) Specialist will support Las Vegas child care providers in registering and maintaining compliance in the child care subsidy system through onsite and community based consultation and training. This position will support the provider registration into the child care subsidy program, and offer monitoring visits and training support to meet their ongoing requirements. Responsibilities: Achieve an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas and overall goals and objectives. Provide in-person, telephone and virtual support to child care providers to assist them in registering for and adhering to requirements for participating in the child care subsidy program. Develop and conduct community education workshops that meet grant requirements and best practices for early childhood educators. Conduct monitoring visits for Out-of-School time providers and provide onsite technical assistance to ensure their needs are met. Submit referrals to other resources and conduct follow-up to ensure providers are connected to services. Ensure that all services, curriculum, and resources used in training materials meet the latest research and best practices. Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or closely related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE. Must qualify as a Nevada Registry ECE 4.2 Trainer and maintain certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have reliable vehicle for work, travel to rural areas, trainings and other offices as needed. Benefits: Eligible to receive Cabinet benefits for full-time staff.
