We are seeking a bilingual professional with high emotional intelligence and a strong background in early childhood education (ECE) business operations. The role supports ECE center directors and family center operators, delivering intensive business coaching to improve financial outcomes and staff well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

ECE Business Coaching (80%)

– Deliver business coaching to ECE directors in 20 Degrees shared services programs, primarily virtual in Montgomery County, MD. Create goal plans, progress reports, and use child‑care management software to monitor provider optimization.

Generate business performance reports and support training and peer‑mentoring group work.

Collaborate with team members to ensure coaching needs are met.

ECE Training & Technical Assistance (15%)

– Work with the Executive Team to create and deliver virtual and in‑person training and technical assistance to child‑care providers. Contribute to projects beyond Montgomery County as needed.

Other Duties (5%)

– Handle occasional emergent tasks, participate in 20 Degrees team activities, and attend bi‑annual retreats and staff meetings.

Success Metrics Success is measured by client feedback on coaching delivery, center improvements and goal attainment, and how well you collaborate with the 20 Degrees team to align with our values.

Qualifications

Bilingual speaker (Spanish, Amharic, Chinese or Korean) comfortable explaining business reports.

7+ years of ECE management experience, preferably in an administrative or shared services environment.

Demonstrated coaching experience with measurable outcomes for center leadership.

Proficiency with child‑care management software (e.g., Brightwheel) and QuickBooks.

Strong understanding of ECE business fundamentals and compliance.

Experience managing the business side of early childhood centers or small non‑profits.

Familiarity with project‑management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or Trello.

Ability to create high‑quality presentations and reports.

Experience serving multiple clients simultaneously.

Knowledge of Maryland and Virginia early childhood systems; preference for Montgomery County, MD residents.

Additional Information 20 Degrees is a remote‑first workplace. This role is performed mostly remotely (80%) with periodic travel to Washington, DC Metro Area providers (20%). The position is part‑time, 30 hours per week, and includes full benefits (401k, health insurance, etc.). Salary ranges from $56,250 to $71,250 based on experience. The role may expand to a full‑time (40 hours) position within 9–12 months.
