What You’ll Do

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Conduct building walk-arounds to understand portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and complexities.

Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies.

Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.

Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information clearly and concisely.

Ensure corrective and repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.

Contribute to the team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.

Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Good customer relationship skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Washington Residents: The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $50,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $70,000 annually. Compensation considers education, training, and experience.
