Description & Requirements
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst - IT PROCUREMENT will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise-wide procurement initiatives, working closely with the Sr Director of Strategic Sourcing.
Additionally, you will actively collaborate with the Procurement Team to successfully complete projects.
This includes direct interaction with information technology related suppliers, handling quotes, bids, scheduling, and guiding vendors through the internal process.
You will also engage directly with high-level business stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies through the RFx process.
Develop and negotiate contracts with new suppliers and / or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish the lowest total system cost and savings objectives.
Responsible for creating cost estimates and expenditure forecasts related to company's procurement.
Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
Deliver and manage the request for proposal (RFP) process for assigned categories or sourcing engagements.
Develop strategies to improve the enterprises' cost structure.
Optimize external spending through early involvement in the sourcing life cycle developed through a strong partnership with business stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to aggregate enterprise demand to drive value.
Demonstrate strong business judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills.
Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and implements supplier agreements by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach an agreement on contract terms and conditions.
Assist in developing and negotiating contracts with new suppliers and / or renegotiating existing contracts to achieve cost savings objectives
Support maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships
Assist in creating cost estimates and expenditure forecasts related to the company's procurement
Help evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement suggestions to senior management
Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others
Support the implementation of efficient sourcing and category management strategies through the RFx process
Support the optimization of external spending through early involvement in the sourcing life cycle alongside business stakeholders
Help identify opportunities to aggregate enterprise demand to drive value
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience negotiating with IT suppliers.
Experience writing and generating RFPs, RFIs and RFQs to suppliers
Experience with supply chain management, directly involved with strategic sourcing management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Coupa or other Procurement Business Spend Platform experience a plus
Strong organizational, risk management and negotiation skills
Program and project management skills
Familiarity with sourcing and procurement tools
Strong analytical skills.
Intermediate MS Office Skills, (especially Excel)
