Job Description Ignite is seeking a Junior Adobe Captivate Developer to join our Advanced Analytics team supporting Naval Medical Forces Development Command (NMFDC) in San Antonio, TX. This hybrid remote work position prefers candidates resident within commuting distance of San Antonio to support in‑person meetings. Occasional travel may be required to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
Develop interactive training modules using Adobe Captivate based on pre‑written scripts and storyboards.
Ensure SCORM compliance and successful integration with government LMS platforms.
Implement branching scenarios, quizzes, simulations, and multimedia elements to enhance learner engagement.
Work closely with a senior government Captivate developer and instructional design team to align technical implementation with learning objectives.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine training products.
Provide technical support during testing, deployment, and sustainment phases.
Conduct thorough testing of modules to ensure functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness across platforms.
Apply best practices in usability and user experience for e‑learning environments.
Support efforts to align content with DoD accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508).
Maintain organized project files, version histories, and technical documentation.
Assist in the creation of user guides or deployment instructions as needed.
Participate in other project work or duties as assigned by the program manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, multimedia design, computer science, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience developing e‑learning content using Adobe Captivate (internship or academic experience acceptable).
Familiarity with SCORM standards and LMS integration processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured development workflows.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Adobe Captivate certification or equivalent training.
Experience with other e‑learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite).
Familiarity with DoD or federal healthcare training environments.
Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines.
Demonstrated success meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
Known for reliability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
Security Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizen; Must have an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, multimedia design, computer science, or a related field.
