Sales Engineer - Bilingual Mandarin & English

El Dorado National – California (ENC), a legacy bus builder turning the page toward the future, has started their bold new electric shuttle bus division. We are in the process of designing cutting‑edge electric and hybrid Class 3–6 shuttle buses that will reshape public, commercial, and private fleet mobility. Our flagship model is the first in a new generation of clean, modular, tech‑forward vehicles.
We’re a collaborative team that wears multiple hats and building something special — and we’re looking for a Bilingual Mandarin & English Sales Engineer who can help bridge the gap between product development and customer success.
This is a 100% onsite role based out of our Riverside, CA office.
What You’ll Do As our Sales Engineer, you’ll become the technical backbone of our Sales & Marketing team. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, global design partners, and U.S.-based fleet buyers to ensure every vehicle configuration is practical, profitable, and production‑ready.
You’ll also represent the voice of the customer to engineering — and the voice of the product to sales.
In this role, you will
Work alongside our sales, marketing and engineering teams on overseas design and engineering trips
Translate customer feedback and sales input into engineering language.
Track and review validation results for customer requested options and features
Serve as a liaison between our sales, marketing, and engineering teams
Support development and maintenance of our 3D configurator logic, spec sheets, and option sets
Conduct feasibility reviews for custom specs, retrofits, and future product features
Help refine our BOMs and track modular component changes from concept to quote
Create TCO and Route Analysis for customers
Support Sales Team on Sales calls and customer meetings
Create technical diagrams, mockups, or spec clarifications for sales and marketing teams use
Become a subject‑matter expert on the flagship shuttle model, as well as additional sizes and classes in future product launches.
Support development and refinement of our 3D configurator rules and smart logic.
Assist sales reps with technical questions and advanced configurations.
Track all off‑menu requests, pricing adjustments, and lead time implications.
Help implement the sales and marketing team designs into prototypes and help to maintain the aesthetic and functional vision from concept to prototype.
Prepare for customer‑facing sales engineering role once production begins.
Support bid submissions, technical Q&As, and fleet customer walkthroughs.
Develop modular spec sheets or tech brochures for specific industries (ADA transit, airport, campus, hotel).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar
3+ years of experience in transportation, mobility, automotive, or fleet‑based industries
Bilingual Mandarin and English is a must
Familiarity with BOMs, CAD, regulatory standards, and EV components
Strong communicator, both technical and customer‑facing
Bonus if you’ve worked with Class 3–6 vehicles or public fleet RFPs
