General Duties & Responsibilities
Accurately and professionally handle front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, addressing routine inquiries, and forwarding non‑routine requests to appropriate personnel.
Prepare necessary patient paperwork before the appointment.
Review EMA for information that needs to be updated.
Update patients' information and enter it accurately in EMA.
Identify payer sources, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain prior authorization.
Record and collect patient copays and/or balances at check‑in/out.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Qualifications
Minimum 1‑2 years experience in a medical office/clinic.
Prior dermatology or cosmetic experience is preferred.
Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD‑10.
Quality written and verbal communication skills.
Quality mathematics skills.
Professional appearance and mannerisms.
Efficient in a fast‑paced environment.
Compassionate and caring toward patients and coworkers.
Prioritization skills, ability to follow provider instructions, and seek guidance when needed.
Experience using EMR systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
