Financial Analyst – Commercial Real Estate
Colliers is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support transaction management and brokerage services for companies of all sizes.
About the Role The Financial Analyst will develop comprehensive financial models, conduct research, and analyze leases, proposals, and client portfolios to optimize real‑estate strategies.
Responsibilities
Work autonomously to analyze, underwrite and forecast property cash flows and valuations using Excel spreadsheet analysis and complex Argus modeling.
Prepare market analysis reports for senior leadership, including vacancy, absorption and comparable rents and sales.
Organize and present data analysis, derive objective conclusions, and make recommendations to leadership.
Conduct purchasing and office space acquisition and negotiate vendor contracts.
Participate in the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes.
Manage internal and contract account managers and accountants to perform financial management and analysis objectives.
Develop financial cash flow models and perform financial analysis to support transaction management on a project‑by‑project basis.
Support office leasing and occasionally industrial brokerage teams with analytical tools for clients to evaluate real‑estate lease and purchase scenarios.
Optimize client real‑estate strategy by providing customized analysis to illustrate different scenarios.
Provide support for client presentations, RFP responses, and new‑business pitches.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients and brokerage teams.
Track and confirm current available office‑space supply in the market while maintaining relevant lease information.
Work closely with the research department to track and gather pertinent lease/sale comparables and market data.
Assist in managing the team database.
Review, analyze, and abstract lease documents for prospects and clients to manage critical dates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in commercial real‑estate, capital markets, or corporate finance.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience developing cash‑flow models and in‑depth financial analysis.
Ability to marshal resources and orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish goals.
Compensation Approximate salary range: $68,640 - $70,000 USD per year.
