Job Description Summary

Associate Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. Associate Property Managers are also responsible for building and motivating high performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.

Job Description Associated Property Managers report to the Regional Property Manager and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Cushman & Wakefield policies and maintaining a positive living environment for residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Assist the Regional Property Manager with overall building operations.

Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.

Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.

Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.

Lead by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Maintain effective staffing by interviewing, hiring, and coaching team members as necessary.

Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

COMPETENCIES

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Determine leasing opportunities for staff and work on goal setting to improve performance.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Be able to manage a team.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE

3+ years of Property Management experience.

1+ years of Management experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This role operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. It requires travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS May require standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and travelling outside between buildings. Employee may also be required to remain in a stationary position for 85% of the time and operate office machinery.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION Cushman & Wakefield provides eligible employees with a variety of benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Compensation ranges from $28.90 to $34.00 and is based on location, experience, and market rates. The company will not pay less than minimum wage.
