Job OverviewA law firm seeks a patent agent with expertise in patent prosecution to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in 5G/6G technologies, AI/ML, automotive/electric vehicle technologies, video encoding, and software technologies.DutiesDraft and prosecute US and international patent applications.Collaborate with inventors and scientists in a client-facing role.Manage patent portfolios and conduct freedom-to-operate analyses.Provide strategic advice on patentability and infringement issues.RequirementsThree-plus years of relevant experience.Strong organizational and writing skills.Excellent oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.EducationDegree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.CertificationsMembership in the Patent Bar.SkillsFamiliarity with patent databases and search tools.Experience in automotive and/or mechanical fields is a plus.Intellectual curiosity and excellent academic credentials.BenefitsCompetitive salary.Excellent benefits package.
