Role Overview The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective supply chain within the SF Bay Area region. This role works closely with corporate procurement, regional teams, vendors, and field staff to plan, procure, and manage supplies, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate the flow of regional project estimates, bid, and award information to the corporate procurement team.

Coordinate group purchases and corporate initiatives with regional team members.

Support local lead estimator on lighting, gear, and technical material packages.

Engage vendors for budgeting and design‑build proposals.

Review and sign off on Lump Sum Purchase Orders, ensuring terms are accurate and coordinated with corporate procurement.

Communicate new product introductions to field and project staff.

Provide market data (price, availability, trends) to operations.

Interpret procurement procedures, assist with requisitions, and resolve order issues.

Maintain departmental policies, report minority business participation, and manage administrative issues.

Represent the department in meetings with management, vendors, and external agencies.

Directly supervise regional procurement employees, conduct performance evaluations, and provide mentorship.

Develop and maintain relationships with regional vendor partners.

Identify potential supplier opportunities, including WMBE firms.

Prepare and distribute complex bid invitations or requests for proposal.

Process difficult purchasing transactions according to company policy.

Assist with specification development and drafting of RFPs.

Review, analyze, and approve non‑competitive purchases.

Gather and analyze purchasing data to support decision making.

Maintain communication on product quality, supply issues, and corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience negotiating, networking, and managing purchasing relationships.

In‑depth knowledge of electrical equipment and construction.

Strong understanding of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Oracle preferred.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Self‑motivated, proactive, and a team player.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of purchasing experience in electrical contracting.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Travel Up to 35% initially, decreasing over time.

Working Conditions

Primarily indoor work with occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Typical environment: sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.

Noise level usually low to medium; may be louder on job sites.

Pay Range $136,900.00 – $179,700.00 Annual. Pay varies based on location, experience, and education.
