POSITION TITLE: Outlet Store Manager
REPORTS TO: Director Outlets Salvage and Logistics

General Purpose The Outlet Store Manager is an entrepreneur that leads a store team to drive incremental sales growth, embed Brand in the fabric of our aftermarket division, provide a level of customer service that consistently exceeds expectation and cultivates high performing teams. The Outlet Store Manager drives operational excellence through understanding of Goodwill NYNJ standards and attention to detail. Training is a priority while cultivating an environment of learning. Essential Functions
DRIVE FOR RESULTS
Analyze available sales reports and data to assess the needs of the business and create business strategies based that analysis.
Set KPI goals (ATV and transactions) and hold team accountable for achieving.
Continuously coach and motivate team to meet assigned goals and expectations.
Ensure development of associates’ sales techniques and product knowledge to maximize sales growth.
Demonstrate sales leadership for the team by playing an active role on the selling floor.
Collaborate with Director/VP and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities to drive sales.
Customer Service
Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service by modeling Goodwill NYNJ CARE service standards.
Drive Goodwill brand loyalty through coaching sales team to share knowledge of Goodwill Rewards program and Mission, consistently educating customers of the benefits of participation.
Drive customer loyalty through coaching and accountability of store teams to capture customer data utilizing Company tools (POS), for the purpose of connecting with the customer, building relationships and personalizing future customer development opportunities.
Cultivate customer relationships by knowing and engaging repeat clientele.
Resolve all customer complaints and issues quickly, efficiently and with respect resulting in an overall positive experience
Personally, model a positive customer experience, ensuring the customer always takes priority.
Deliver a consistent customer experience by gaining trust and respect with our customers
Operations
Ensure stock room is equipped to maximize production of donations and flow of product to the sales floor is quick and efficient.
Monitor the movement of all inventory and ensure that staff adheres to all Shipping/Receiving policies and procedures.
Meet inventory accuracy and shrink requirements.
Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash.
Manage store P&L by managing controllable expenses and labor cost.
Effective scheduling to maintain adequate floor coverage and consistent processing of donations while maintaining payroll budgets.
Ensure staff is trained in all areas of appropriate register usage and maintenance.
Partner with Loss Prevention to ensure adherence to Loss Prevention policies and proactively identify trends that minimize loss Company property and funds.
Support, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management and transfer process.
Build and maintain good communication with members of corporate and other stores.
Work Collaboratory across the operations division to achieve aftermarket benchmark goals.
Oversee the loading of all salvage containers and reconciliation of Bill of ladings. Submitting accurate data
Holds self and team accountable to high performance standards in order to meet customer and company expectations.
Communicate effectively by being clear and concise in both oral and written communication in order to ensure effective operations.
Set clear goals and expectations for associates and hold them accountable for their responsibilities and objectives.
Merchandising / Visual
Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies.
Partner with the warehouse and District Manager to ensure appropriate assortment and inventory levels for the store.
Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner.
Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all times.
Executing table floor rotations in a timely manner while meeting daily production goals.
Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised
Recruit, train, and develop team ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified candidates.
Continually assess employee level of proficiency in their role and provide training in a timely manner to ensure they have the tools required to meet expectation.
Champion, implement and provide follow‑up for all training programs rolled out by the corporate office.
Continually evaluate the performance of each member of the team and provide consistent feedback to ensure improvement, develop bench strength and plan for succession. Utilize Company tools and documents to support.
Resolve all employee relation issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary.
Ensure integrity of payroll and the payroll process.
Ensure grooming standards are professional, reflective of Brand image and adhered to at all times
Key Requirements
5+ years of retail manager or leadership experience
Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results.
Proven ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
Ability to adapt to and engage with different customers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership team and colleagues.
Be able to Correspond in email communication to receive daily directives and to obtain support
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
Accuracy and attention to detail required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to attend in‑service related training as assigned
Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast ‑ paced and deadline ‑ oriented environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Additional Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift 25lbs.
Must have open availability and able to work holidays. Your schedule will be based on business needs.
Be open to obtaining Forklift Certification
