Security Officer / Supervisor

The Security Officer acts as an ambassador of the casino while protecting the assets and providing a safe environment for our employees and guests. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable gaming laws and regulations, as well as Sac & Fox Casino’s established policies, procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Security Officer)
Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees.
Gives directions and provides escort to customers in need.
Provides assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
Makes chip fills, verifies jackpots when needed.
Completes regular escort of money and persons in money-handling positions.
Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary and as trained.
Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security.
Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
Makes lost and found detailed descriptions of people and incidents.
Completes daily paperwork and logs as requested by manager or supervisor.
Practices courteous, respectful treatment and communications with all customers, team members and managers at all levels.
Maintains professional and competent attitude, personal hygiene, grooming and appearance at all times.
Enforces and follows security policy and procedure as well as all Casino policy and procedure.
Follows ongoing promotions in preparation of answering questions from customers and understanding functions that security may have a role in, such as securing drawing hoppers, crowd control, etc.
Performs all other job related duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (Security Officer)
Will fill in and supervise all Security Officers on the assigned shift, and observe all Supervisor duties when the full time Supervisor is not on shift.

Security Officer Qualifications
Prior experience in casino security, law enforcement, military or civilian security services preferred.
Must be able to perform assigned tasks under limited supervision.
CLEET Certification I & II training desired or willing to obtain.
Security CLEET License minimum of Phases I & II desired or willing and able to obtain within 90‑days of hire.
Must be able to meet and obtain all training requirements and certifications such as CPR/First Aid/ AED, Defensive Tactics Techniques and all other training the security department requires.
Security Supervisor Qualifications
Security CLEET License in Phase I, II, and IV.
Must be 21 years of age due to CLEET certification requirements.
Must be able to meet and obtain all training requirements and certifications such as CPR/First Aid/ AED, Defensive Tactics Techniques and all other training the security department requires.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of security supervisor or related experience, preferably in a Casino environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required.
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
May require the knowledge, skill and abilities to work with personal computers.
The ability to read and write English proficiently and understand both written and verbal instructions.
One to Two years of experience in a position that required supervision of staff.
Experience in problem identification and solving with customers and employees would be preferable.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to employees, managers and top management.
Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and work with mathematical concepts. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.
Other Skills and Abilities Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability. Must have remarkable interpersonal relations skills. Ability to see problems and avoid situations that could be deemed illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow team members or customers.
