Job Purpose This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities Percent of Responsibilities
Compliance
– 50% of time: Observes customers and checks identification for age verification, identifying customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring customers to assist in the prevention of open containers leaving the store. Denies sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
Customer Excellence
– 25% of time: Provides continuous attention to customers' needs; greets, assists, and thanks customers promptly and courteously; offers product suggestions to customers when appropriate.
Operational Excellence
– 25% of time: Stocks and rotates department products to ensure freshness and date control; restocks and uses supply items efficiently to eliminate waste; operates department equipment and tools; operates cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently; keeps work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards; reports faulty equipment and hazards to management.

Qualifications Required Education High School / GED.
Preferred Education High School / GED Diploma.
Language Requirements English (required), Spanish (preferred).
Relevant Experience 0‑3 years minimum; No supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be at least 21 years of age.
TIPS Training required prior to position start date.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and to follow instructions.
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
High standard of integrity and reliability.
Basic computer skills required to participate in online training.
Customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
Environmental Factors Retail – General Heavy: Physical demands include standing, walking, repetitive movements, reaching, carrying, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing up to 30 ft. Working conditions may involve indoor/outdoor, cold, heated, wet/humid environments. Safety risk factors include walking on slippery or cluttered floors, working with hazardous equipment, exposure to loud noise, irritants, dust, fumes, sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions, and chemicals. Required personal protective equipment includes goggles, gloves, and back brace. Lifting requirement is 50 lbs; pulling requirement is 250 lbs.
