Experience (Years): 10 & Above Essential Skills: 10-12 years of experience in managing Postgres databases. 5 years of experience should be on the cloud version preferably AWS experience in managing databases as RDS services in AWS, security policy, user authentication, IAM, and database administration in AWS. Install, configure, patch, migrate, maintain, and upgrade open‑source database platforms such as PostgreSQL and AWS RDS. Working knowledge of EDB, Oracle, SQL Server and AWS day‑to‑day operation on S3 and EC2. Should be able to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation. Experience in Postgres SQL performance improvement, indexing, other approaches. Good experience with partitioning database. Experience with message queuing, full‑text indexing, and other high‑performance data concepts. Experience in AWS environment management and knowledge of different tools available. Experience in Postgres SQL migration approach, estimating it, and technically managing it. Advanced understanding of database optimization and architecture. Desirable Skills: AWS RDS hands‑on experience, capacity planning, performance assessment of AWS RDSs, strong Postgres/SQL Server database administration experience in production environments, configuration and support of complex RDS databases in AWS environment, configuring and managing high availability and resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database. Experience managing multiple RDS instances and database versions on large systems. Practical experience in monitoring. Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices. Seniority level
