We’re seeking an experienced Test Technician to work in the engineering department. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Test Technician. Karman is looking for an energetic and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and equipment. As a test technician, you will be required to perform daily functions such as inspecting critical hardware and processes, conducting/monitoring active tests, collecting required data, and analyzing for conformance to required specifications. Ideally, the candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and report problems that arise with any product or equipment. The test technician will work under the direct supervision of the engineering manager and work closely with other department team members as required. About Karman Space & Defense

None Duties / Responsibilities
Inspect components before assembly. Read and interpret engineering work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Understand documents such as tool manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Setup and execution of validation tests using engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures. Ability to use Microsoft Excel, collect and manipulate data, and maintain overall computer literacy. Record testing data and analyze results to determine whether products meet quality standards. Analyze collected data to recommend improvements to the production process. Identify out-of-family conditions and/or data and mitigate potential failures. Occasionally generate reports and present findings to process stakeholders. Maintain testing methods and equipment. Maintain tool calibrations necessary for testing and compliance on a regular basis. Plan the time, method, manner, and/or sequence of work with senior engineering guidance as needed. Frequently make decisions of both minor and major importance. Answer inquiries from engineers and other departments to ensure efficient communication. Serve as inspector to ensure compliance and specifications when needed. Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with business information. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Required Responsibilities
Basic engineering and scientific knowledge. Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Keen attention to detail. Ability to define problems verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize common shop hand and power tools. Great communication skills. Team-oriented but able to work independently as necessary. Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or other status). Education & Experience
2 years’ experience in engineering technology or related fields. Ability to use Microsoft Excel, collect and manipulate data, and maintain strong computer literacy. Experience using mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, ratios, fractions, and proportions. Experience analyzing data and drawing valid conclusions. Ability to read, speak and write in English fluently. PLC programming experience is a plus. Physical Requirements
Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours. Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs. Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other hand tools. Repetitive movement may be required. Constant holding, grasping, turning, or other hand activity. The ability to hear and understand speech and/ or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms). Constant ascending and descending stairs/ramps. Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead and at shoulder level. Vision at approximately 20 inches or less; corrective lenses may be worn. Travel Requirements
