As the team behind the most popular SAST, we built the Semgrep AppSec Platform to deliver industry‑leading code, dependency, and secrets scanning to enable organizations to ship secure code quickly without slowing down development. With fast, customizable code analysis across large codebases, Semgrep helps teams catch vulnerabilities early and fix them faster. Leading companies like Snowflake, Plaid, Figma, Lyft, and Dropbox rely on Semgrep to secure their software. Semgrep is funded by top investors, including Felicis Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, and Sequoia Capital. About the Role

As a Sr. Sales Engineer at Semgrep, you’ll be an integral part of a diverse team working to help developers build more secure applications. Your daily engagements with customers will directly contribute to a more productive development process that catches software vulnerabilities before they go live. You will be the technical expert working directly with our customers to understand their goals and challenges, integrate our products and services into their environments, and ensure we deliver maximum value. Prior experience in a fast‑paced, tech environment is helpful, but we are more interested in your problem‑solving abilities than your pedigree. If this opportunity excites you but you don’t meet the exact requirements, apply anyway! Location:

Candidates must be located in San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY. What you’ll do

Become an expert on Semgrep and integrate our platform into the software development lifecycle. Scope and own each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria. Articulate to customers how our platform is uniquely differentiated to drive greater speed, accuracy, and flexibility in their security programs. Act as a thought leader in the wider community, educating, sharing best practices, writing knowledge‑base articles and blogs, running workshops, and presenting at events. Minimize customer friction in adopting and deploying Semgrep through automation and external content. Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the Semgrep platform, and proactively work within the organization to shape its evolution. Contribute to building a world‑class solutions engineering organization by refining and scaling workflows and processes. Qualifications
