Responsibilities
Preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements for all business units/entities
Preparation and presentation of financial reports to ownership, management team and external parties
Preparation of elimination/consolidation entries
Posting reversing, adjusting and accrual journal entries
Maintaining reconciliations of pertinent balance sheet and P&L accounts
Maintaining documentation and historical information/descriptions supporting and explaining period financial results and calculations with supporting schedules
Maintaining and updating the fixed asset system and calculations of depreciation and gains/losses
Maintaining and updating the chart of accounts and new business units/entities
Reviewing and approving coding/classification of expenditures and revenues
Preparation and presentation of financial information, analyses and reports including cost accounting, ratio analysis, trend analysis, variance analysis, etc.
Interfacing and communicating with departmental and company personnel
Maintaining a user-friendly file/library of accounting reports, records and data
Maintaining and updating allocations to various P&L units/entities
Internally auditing processes, procedures and internal controls
Preparation and verification of various governmental, banking and other compliance requirements
Completion of special projects such as upgrades/implementations of budgets or general ledger/ERP or other software systems, extraordinary transactions, etc.
Supporting the annual and other external party audits including providing requested information and responding to inquiries
Supporting duties within the purview of the CFO, controller and/or assistant controller including payroll, accounts payable, credit/accounts receivable, internal audit, ERP management, etc.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from an accredited four‑year college; minimum of two to six years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; CPA and/or CMA designation or candidate for same
Highly proficient in analysis and preparation of financial statement information and metrics
Excellent communication, mathematical and analytical skills
Proven ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
Managerial experience a plus
Experience with eliminations, lotted inventory and/or inventory or cost accounting are pluses
Advanced Excel user with proficiency in pivot table analysis and external data links a plus
Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite ERP and Power BI a plus
Compensation Pay range: $100,000.00 – $135,000.00. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
