Job Summary Our community clinic is seeking a
Director of Pharmacy
to oversee operations for our in-house pharmacy. This leadership position combines clinical oversight, operational management, and team coordination—all within a supportive environment focused on accessible, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and evaluate all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance and service quality
Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws
Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote continuous professional growth
Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and grants to support cost-effective operations
Oversee medication procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
Serve as a consultant to clinical providers on medication therapy, formulary updates, and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational ethics policies
Represent the department in leadership meetings and professional forums
Qualifications
PharmD or BPharm degree
Active California Pharmacist License
Proven management or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and clinical best practices
