Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Salary:
$187,000 – $208,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Summary Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, the
Director of Pharmacy Services
provides strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, service quality, and cost-effective management of pharmacy programs. The Director is responsible for planning, policy development, staff management, and performance evaluation to achieve excellence in patient care and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and evaluate all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance and service quality
Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws
Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote continuous professional growth
Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and grants to support cost-effective operations
Oversee medication procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
Serve as a consultant to clinical providers on medication therapy, formulary updates, and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational ethics policies
Represent the department in leadership meetings and professional forums
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution
Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of California
Minimum five (5) years of pharmacy practice experience, with one (1)+ year in a supervisory role preferred
Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal formulary and Medicaid operational systems
Proficiency with hospital or clinic pharmacy software, including EHR and inventory systems
Excellent leadership, organizational, and written communication skills
Valid California Driver’s License and insurability under company policy
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
