Sous Chef
in our Production Kitchen, you’ll be a key culinary leader supporting daily production and large-scale event operations. This hands-on role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional food quality, organization, and consistency. Working a flexible schedule that includes daytime, weekend, and evening shifts, the Sous Chef will ensure seamless execution across all catering and event production. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily culinary production for catering and event programs, maintaining Compass Group’s high standards of excellence.
Lead and support the kitchen team across daytime, evening, and weekend shifts to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure all food is prepared, labeled, and stored in compliance with company, HACCP, and health department standards.
Partner with the Executive Chef on production planning, recipe adherence, and menu execution.
Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls while maintaining accurate records.
Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and culinary growth.
Coordinate with front-of-house and event teams to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications: Culinary degree or certification preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
3–5 years of experience in high-volume catering, banquet, or production kitchen environments.
Proven leadership and organizational skills with a strong eye for detail and quality.
ServSafe certification preferred.
Flexible availability, including daytime, weekends, and evenings as required for event production.
