Job Description Are you a diligent and capable individual with a passion for maintaining clean environments, and eager to contribute to a facility that makes a difference in the community? The Utah State Hospital is seeking a capable, diligent employees to work as an entry-level Custodian. Custodians at the Utah State Hospital are responsible for routine cleaning and maintenance of our beautiful facility. This position is full-time, (Monday-Friday)

Familiar with basic housekeeping practices, techniques, and procedures. Physically able to meet the demands of the position, which includes, but is not limited to repetitive and continuous walking, standing, crouching, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment. The Preferred Qualifications:
Able to closely follow written or oral instruction and willingly accept training and feedback. Diligent, reliable and trustworthy. Detail oriented when completing assigned cleaning duties. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Principal Duties
Sorts soiled linens, washing, drying, folding, and re-stocking clean linens on a daily basis. Cleans and maintains floors, dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture, washes windows, mirrors, and other glass or plastic items, empties trash and garbage, etc. Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc. Cleans, sterilizes, and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
