This role is a
full-time, internship role and is remote.

This internship is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of
40 hours
per week.
Candidates must be available during core business hours (8:30 am EST to 5:00 pm EST) for the entire 9-week duration of the program.
Please note that all work must be performed within the United States.
This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
What You'll Do
Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs of low complexity
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency
Code and modify applications, from layout to function
Develop new features, enhance, support, and maintain existing applications
Debug identified issues and provide solutions
Develop and support systems, solutions, components, and enhancements of low complexity
Code new functionality according to specifications
Write testable, efficient code by using software development best practices
Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedure and strategy
Assist in the development of documentation
Collaborate with others to determine design specifications and details
Stay current on new technologies and best practices
What You'll Need
Required
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related area
Current Junior
3.5 GPA
Analytically minded
Experience with various programming languages
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with relational databases
Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner
Experience with Microsoft Suite
Self-starter
Preferred
Java experience
Experience with SQL
Experience with Visual Studio
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
