Position Title: Receptionist – District Office – Class III
Type: Administrative Assistant
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Work Year: 12 Month (July 1 to June 30)
Job Summary/Accountability
To receive telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel in an efficient, professional manner. Serve as a receptionist for all visitors entering the district office facility. Must be able to maintain a cooperative, congenial and service-oriented atmosphere within an environment with frequent interruptions.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; knowledge of and experience with computers/word processing; ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy and tact in giving and obtaining information and in determining proper disposition of problems; proven organizational skills; demonstrable communication skills.
Performance Responsibilities
- Receive all telephone calls and visitors to the district office building
- Provide support and solutions for callers and visitors
- Facilitate scheduling of various district resources (vans, conference rooms, facilities)
- Facilitate the District’s fingerprinting services for Federal Criminal Records Checks
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a district-wide calendar of activities
- Maintain the district office’s Portal page
- Maintain and facilitate registrations and background checks for District volunteers
- Receive and sort all incoming mail and deliveries
- Facilitate district’s Gold Card and Working Papers programs
- Provide clerical support to the Human Resources Office
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources
