Litigation Secretary, Labor & Employment
Two busy law firms are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative and legal support to teams of attorneys in SF. This role is hybrid—3 days in office—and offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, professional environment supporting multiple practices and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and format correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents.
- Handle state and federal court filings, including e‑filing and familiarity with court procedures.
- Open and maintain client files, perform conflict checks, and assist with case setup and management.
- Create tables of contents and authorities for briefs and other filings.
- Enter attorney time, review and edit pro‑formas, and assist with client billing.
- Organize, scan, and maintain legal documents in both paper and digital systems.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings; coordinate court reporters, conference rooms, and travel arrangements.
- Maintain attorney calendars, track deadlines, and provide reminders to ensure timely filings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and firm personnel.
- Process reimbursements, vendor invoices, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of litigation secretary experience.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple attorneys across both firms.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime when needed.

In this role you will be part of a hybrid team located in San Francisco, CA. Compensation ranges from $85,000 – $100,000 annually, with additional benefits.
