Business Office Assistant

Responsibilities

• Data entry of accounts receivable, bank deposits, reconciliations, and resident funds accounts.
• Collaborate with Admissions and the Manager to identify and verify who will pay for services.
• Post payments on accounts and perform data entry for ancillary supplies and therapy services.
• Process resident funds activity, send quarterly statements, and submit co‑insurance claims to insurance companies.
• Review Medicaid remit reports and resubmit claims as necessary.
• Maintain resident business files and assist with month‑end processing.
• Copy and file as needed or assigned.
• Assume the duties of the Business Office Manager when the manager is absent.
• Respect and protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident records and affairs.
• Communicate courteously and effectively with residents, families, visitors, co‑workers, and business associates.
• Maintain sound customer service principles to respond to and resolve complaints or concerns of residents and sponsors about accounts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or one or more years of related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
