Position: 2nd Shift Dock Worker / Warehouse Associate
Location: On‑Site — Chicagoland Area
Shift: 2nd Shift
Position Summary
The Dock Worker is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight, ensuring accuracy to prevent shipping errors, customer claims, or complaints. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role that plays a critical part in our shipping and logistics operations.
Essential Functions
- Load and unload trailers in a safe and timely manner
- Perform re‑weighs during each shift
- Conduct daily freight inspections and equipment checks
- Inspect trailers for suitability prior to loading
- Recoup, palletize, and shrink wrap freight as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of basic dock procedures
- Forklift experience in a dock or warehouse setting
- Ability to identify and report recurring problems or safety issues
- 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
Credentials & Experience
- 1–2 years of forklift experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
