Thompson Coe, LLP seeks a lateral partner, or group of partners, with portable professional liability business to join our growing Denver office. Thompson Coe, LLP is a pre‑eminent complex civil litigation firm with 290+ attorneys across offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; St. Paul, Minnesota; New York City, New York; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Denver, Colorado. The partner in this position will work on a variety of professional liability cases and matters, including defending architects, engineers and other design professionals, attorneys, community associations, accountants, directors and officers, insurance agents and brokers, and real estate professionals in breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, malpractice, and negligence cases, and in administrative matters. The partner will oversee the day‑to‑day aspects of this work, including client meetings, reporting and investigation, and taking and attending depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations and/or trials, and work closely with an associate or senior attorney.

Qualifications: At least 10 years' experience in civil litigation.

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure

Excellent advocacy and writing skills

Good billing/time entry habits

Deposition practice

Motion practice

Experience reporting to clients and insurance carriers

Pay Range and Compensation Package: Compensation includes competitive base salary commensurate with experience and portable business, generous quarterly bonuses based on billable hours, 401(k) with profit share, comprehensive benefits package including healthcare and paid parental leave, and flexible work environment.
