Job Description

About the role

Picture your day: you arrive to a bustling food manufacturing facility where uptime is everything. You check the overnight CMMS dashboard, prioritize work orders, coach a technician through a PLC fault, and huddle with production to plan a preventive maintenance window that keeps lines humming. By afternoon, you’ve implemented an improvement to a packaging cell, verified compliance with sanitation standards, and mentored a mechanic on servo drive diagnostics. You wrap up by reviewing inventory for critical spares and recognizing a team member for exemplary safety behavior. What you'll lead

Advance Safety, Quality, and Productivity as a key member of the management team in a food manufacturing environment. Continuously assess equipment and facility systems; recommend and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency. Coach the maintenance team in troubleshooting, repair techniques, and professional development. Oversee performance, policy adherence, and professional conduct; provide feedback, recognition, and corrective action as needed. Drive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance across all assets, using the CMMS for work orders, purchasing, inventory, and equipment history. Diagnose and repair control systems issues including PCs, PLCs, networks, and HMIs. Apply advanced electrical expertise in power distribution, motor controls, VFDs, servo systems, and robotics. Troubleshoot automated packaging machinery and a range of process equipment such as pumps, valves, meters, and mixers. Resolve hydraulic and pneumatic problems and maintain facility utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration. Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Ensure compliance with corporate programs for food safety, food safety culture, quality, and cleanliness. Champion safety accountability—leaders set the tone and ensure a safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Food safety leadership

Model best-in-class manufacturing and sanitation practices. Ensure the team follows Ken’s Food Safety and GMP policies. Verify work is performed safely and hygienically to protect product integrity. Prevent contamination through disciplined maintenance methods and housekeeping. Require immediate reporting of suspicious activity in or around the plant. Continuously inspect work areas to identify and mitigate potential contamination risks. Supervision and people management

Directly supervise Maintenance team members: interview, hire, and onboard; plan and assign work; coach and appraise performance; reward and discipline; and resolve concerns in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience: 3–5 years leading a maintenance team in manufacturing or food processing. Skills and abilities
