Instrumentation & Electrical Technologist
located in
Freeport, TX . As the instrumentation & electrical technologist you will provide maintenance craft‑specific support to plants, maintain and repair all types of equipment, and support reliability improvement across all Operations facilities. You will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience. Responsibilities
Enable people who manage and perform work in the field with the tools and information needed to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently. Require full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job‑related training and considerable on‑the‑job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Act as an informal resource for team members with less experience. Review and manage the inspections due for assigned units. Participate in assigned unit updates and planning meetings to be aware of unit needs and priorities; participate in the Management of Change process. Provide day‑to‑day and occasional off‑hour inspection support to the plant. Participate in unit shutdowns by supplying inspection scopes along with repair scopes. Participate in unit day‑to‑day maintenance by supplying inspection scopes along with repair scopes. Participate in Root Cause Investigations (RCI’s). Make unit walkthroughs/assessments. Required Qualifications
One of the following is required: A minimum of an Associate's degree or 3+ years of military experience and 6+ years of electrical maintenance, manufacturing or other related experience. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, manufacturing or other related experience. A current, valid US Driver's License. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Your Skills
Troubleshooting: The ability to identify and fix problems in devices that measure things like pressure, temperature, and flow. Equipment Maintenance: Skill in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems such as motors, wiring, and control panels, working safely with high‑voltage equipment and following procedures. Electrical Principles: Understanding how electrical systems work—including circuits, voltage, current, and safety practices—to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment like motors, control panels, and wiring in a manufacturing environment. Communication: Working well with others by sharing updates, helping less experienced teammates, and participating in meetings to plan and improve maintenance activities. Detail‑Oriented: Carefully follows procedures, catches small issues in equipment or documentation, and ensures inspections and repairs are done accurately and safely. Additional Notes

Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground. This role involves elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
