The Commissioning Engineer team performs final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including breakers, transformers, switches, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers, both in the field and in manufacturing environments. A thorough understanding of sophisticated electrical distribution systems and complex electrical test equipment is required. You will contribute to a safe working environment and the overall success of projects. Local, regional, and national travel may be required. Assist experienced Commissioning specialists in coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets Perform routine electrical calculations Review supplier documentation for compliance with specifications Use the electrical engineering web site to access guides and standards Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of relevant electrical experience with a high school diploma or GED, or 8+ years with an associate or bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization Candidate Expectations
Electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems Ability to interpret trade drawings to identify potential design and installation issues Knowledge of industry standards including NETA ATS/MTS, NEC, NFPA 70E, etc. Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
OEM certified field service training NETA level III or IV certification preferred Benefits
