The Role You’ll Contribute
The Clinical Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health‑system by preventing, identifying, and resolving medication use issues to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes, and minimize cost. Will perform all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interactions with patients and healthcare team, and technician supervision.

Pharmacy Operations – actively participates and covers central/satellite pharmacy as requested, oversees medication automation, ensures inventory management, supervises technician and intern practice, etc.
Pharmacy Practice – completes medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, patient monitoring, verifies orders, participates in stewardship, manages consults, facilitates safety practices, etc.
Clinical Pharmacy Services – participates in direct patient care programs, delivers appropriate medication therapy, collaborates with providers, focuses on patient‑centered care.
Teamwork and Inter‑professional Collaboration – punctuality, support across pharmacy areas, works effectively with healthcare team.
Participation in departmental meetings, educational activities, stewardship initiatives, governance committees.
Teaching, Training, Precepting, and Mentoring new staff and trainees, supports experiential training.
Quality Improvement, Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation – supports improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance and accreditation processes.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree.
Education and Experience Preferred
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency OR Three years of clinical pharmacy experience.
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required
Applicable State Pharmacy License.
BLS and ACLS.
Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or NRP may be required for some facilities based on department requirements and pharmacist role.
