Responsibilities
Perform Total Ionizing Dose (TID), Displacement Damage (DD), and Single Event Effects (SEE) analyses for electronic components and assemblies.
Develop shielding analysis models and simulations to predict radiation mitigation outcomes.
Recommend design modifications to improve radiation resilience.
Generate reports and presentations summarizing simulation results and risk assessments.
Draft and review radiation test plans and testing to validate computational predictions.
Support mission planning, including orbit‑dependent radiation exposure, dosimetry, and protection optimization for space vehicles.
Contribute to the direction of mission‑critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing space vehicle technologies.
Collaborate with space and ground system engineers across the company to deliver comprehensive space system products.
You Have
3+ years of experience with space radiation effects analysis using tools such as TID, DD, SEE, and thermal impacts for space vehicle mechanical, electrical, and computing components.
2+ years of experience with space environment simulation software such as STK Shield+.
Experience documenting analyses and communicating findings to multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of space radiation environments, including trapped protons or electrons, Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs), and Solar Particle Events (SPEs).
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics.

Experience with national security satellite systems.
Experience producing high‑fidelity models of space vehicle subsystems.
Experience with semiconductor device vulnerability analysis under ionizing radiation.
Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting tools for custom simulation and analysis.
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors including location, qualifications, and organizational requirements. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
