The Global Power Industry is undergoing a time of transformation, driven in part by the energy transition, grid modernization and increase in power demand. As the Director of Sales Modernization , you will lead the charge in accelerating our growth across key industry vectors for our Power & Water Solutions (PWS) business, based in the Cranberry Township suburb of Pittsburgh, PA.

The Director of Sales Modernization will be at the forefront of transforming our product offerings and growth strategies into a rapidly evolving market landscape. With significant investments in our product portfolio and a market primed for opportunity, this role offers the chance to create a meaningful impact on the future trajectory of Power & Water Solutions. You will be instrumental in positioning our solutions to capitalize on market trends and ensure our competitive edge within the power utility sector.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Lead the creation of a comprehensive global strategy for modernization and competitive displacement within the Power & Water industries

Responsible for identifying key sites to convert to Ovation portfolio and a penetration strategy, delivering incremental orders and adoption

Create and develop sales force dedicate to support whitespace portfolio adoption in strategic selected sites globally

Guide and lead a digital sales team responsible for customer interaction and lead generation and conversion

Transform historical strengths into outstanding growth opportunities by leveraging the innovative capabilities of our Ovation™ portfolio.

Conduct robust competitor analyses and be at the forefront of technological innovations and industry developments

Act as a Program Leader to drive strategy deployment, ensuring effective implementation across all world regions

Serve as Subject Matter Expert for modernization solutions, educating and supporting the global sales force with technical insights and demand creation expertise

Work closely with Product Development to identify and develop solutions for target applications and niche opportunities

Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customers, gathering ‘voice of the customers’ feedback, and influencing product improvements

Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to develop engaging product literature, presentations, and media

Partner with the Lifecycle Services Organization to explore modernization and expansion opportunities within the Ovation install base

Provide key program updates and case studies to support portfolio improvement for the executive team

Who You Are: You consistently apply a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions. You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization towards its goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related STEM field, marketing, or a relevant field of study

5+ years of experience in control and software solutions, sales, projects, operations, or product development

Proven experience in customer-facing roles, program deployment, and product management, preferably with competitor knowledge

Expertise in promoting and presenting products and solutions directly to end-users

Demonstrated ability to assess market needs and translate them into actionable business strategies

Professional presentation skills and the confidence to effectively communicate a DCS (i.e. Ovation) capability

Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
