Shift: First shift, fully onsite.
Job Description #TeamAAM is looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Driveline team. The role focuses on making the plant more productive and efficient by leading the design and implementation of new or improved technologies, systems, and processes.
Key responsibilities include leading analysis of operating environment to identify process inefficiencies, conducting time and motion studies, developing pilot programs and prototypes, improving workflows, designing equipment layout, and managing workforce utilization.
Responsibilities
Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples and methods.
Improve labor utilization by studying work methods and testing modifications.
Improve workflow by reviewing process flows, recommending modifications, and developing new procedures.
Reduce waste by studying methods and equipment and recommending changes.
Implement work improvement programs in consultation with management and engineering staff.
Prepare work‑analysis information and reports.
Coach team members on skills and business knowledge.
Train and guide operators and supervisors on improvement projects.
Maintain operations guidelines through policy and procedure updates.
Protect confidential information.
Contribute to industrial engineering success by addressing requests and helping others accomplish job results.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience with responsibility for high volume machining activities, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
Understanding of production tooling and gauging.
Availability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.
