#TeamAAM is looking for a Senior Industrial Engineer to join our Metal Forming team in Royal Oak, Michigan. The Senior Industrial Engineer makes the plant more productive and efficient by leading the design and implementation of new or improved technologies, systems, and processes. They will lead the analysis of the operating environment; this person looks for and identifies process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy. They will conduct comprehensive time and motion studies and develop and evaluate complex pilot programs, simulations, and prototypes. They will also develop and implement new and enhanced processes and tools, design the complex layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, and analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Key Responsibilities
Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples and methods, measuring work performance. Improve labor utilization by studying, testing, and designing new methods; recommending job restructuring. Improve workflow by studying process flow charts; recommending modifications and developing procedures. Reduce waste by executing time and motion studies, equipment, and operator techniques; identifying and analyzing waste. Implement work improvement programs with management and engineering staff. Develop and manage OEE system and cycle time checks. Manage PIP system (APEX). Develop budget labor scrolls and update quarterly. Conduct capacity analysis and utilization. Lead OEE engagement meetings with hourly and salaried associates. Coach team members with skills and business knowledge. Complete work improvement projects by training operators and supervisors. Maintain operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures, and methods. Protect organization value by keeping information confidential and preventing breaches. Contribute to Industrial Engineering and organizational success by addressing requests. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. 5+ years of relevant experience with responsibility for high volume manufacturing activities. Understanding of production tooling and gauging. About AAM
