Position Summary TUV SUD is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex wireless, IoT, and Big Tech certification projects. This role requires both deep technical expertise in wireless/EMC certification and strong program management skills to manage Tier 1 clients, test labs, and global stakeholders. You will play a critical role in enabling product launches, safeguarding compliance, and ensuring trust in technology for leading technology companies across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities Technical & Project Leadership
Lead and manage multiple concurrent wireless and TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) projects for global OEMs, module vendors, IoT, and automotive clients.
Define project scope, schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation while ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
Coordinate across TUV SUD global test labs, engineers, and external partners to achieve certification milestones.
Oversee lab testing activities (e.g., RSE, OTA, performance, cybersecurity) and ensure accurate regulatory submissions (PTCRB, CTIA, FCC, CE/RED, GCF, ISO, AI frameworks).
Drive automation initiatives by developing frameworks for automated test plan generation, reducing manual effort and improving consistency across certification projects.
Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Customer & Business Engagement
Serve as the primary customer contact for technical and project-related discussions.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with wireless, IoT, and automotive clients.
Provide technical consultation on certification strategy, compliance pathways, and test planning.
Support TUV SUD business development through pre‑sales scoping, proposals, and post‑sales delivery.
Conduct technical workshops, client training, and internal knowledge‑sharing sessions.
Knowledge Development & Process Improvement
Stay up to date with evolving technologies (Ex: 5G NR, Wi‑Fi 6E/7, IoT security).
Contribute to continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and project managers.
Gather customer feedback and identify opportunities for service innovation.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
8+ years of experience in wireless certification, compliance, or TIC project management.
Proven track record leading complex wireless certification projects for Tier 1 clients (OEMs, Big Tech, IoT, automotive).
Hands‑on experience with PTCRB, CTIA, FCC/IC, CE/RED, GCF, and carrier‑specific certification processes.
Strong understanding of LTE, 5G NR, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, UWB, V2X, and IoT ecosystems.
Familiarity with test tools (e.g., QXDM, Wireshark) and lab equipment (e.g., Rohde & Schwarz, Keysight, Anritsu).
Excellent project management, organizational, and customer‑facing communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple global stakeholders and deliver high‑quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in the TIC industry with exposure to global certification and regulatory frameworks.
Professional certifications (PMP, PE, or equivalent).
