We are looking for a Firmware Engineer Co‑Op to join our team in Andover, MA starting in January 2026 for a 6–8 month placement. The role offers a positive, self‑motivated, passionate environment to develop next‑generation technologies.
Responsibilities
Expand and modify existing firmware to meet design requirements.
Perform development (coding and/or testing) of a part of an embedded software solution whose specification and architecture are defined.
Participate in firmware design reviews with peers to learn best practices.
Work with the formal verification team to define, document, analyze, perform and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified products.
Develop firmware using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
Facilitate the generation of prototypes for testing.
Contribute to verification and validation test plans, including test methods and acceptance criteria.
Interpret test results and data, synthesizing information into technical communication for effective written and oral presentation.
Work as part of an agile development team.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proficient in C or C++ coding.
Proficient in Python coding.
Experience with GitHub.
Basic familiarity with Agile/Scrum concepts.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Understanding of embedded systems hardware and electronics.
Experience running on Linux.
Completed operating systems course.
Completed networking course (Wireshark experience a plus).
Able to work from Andover, MA full‑time starting January 2026. This position does not provide relocation funding.
