Job Description This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self‑motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions

Own the full software lifecycle, from concept to deployment and support

Write clean, testable, production‑ready code across the stack

Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and deliver features

Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA)

Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability

Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across the team

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles

Programming: Proficiency in Golang; PHP experience is a plus

Databases: Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational database design

Cloud & DevOps: Hands‑on experience with AWS, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)

Architecture: Expertise in system design, API development, and microservices

Security: Familiarity with secure coding practices and data protection standards (HIPAA, PII, PCI DSS)

Development Practices: Agile methodologies, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines

Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices

Effective problem‑solving and analytical skills

Location Expectations The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in‑office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
