Job Overview Under the supervision of the Associate University Librarian for Content & Discovery, the
Digital Collections Project Manager
will work collaboratively with staff and departments across the library on a variety of projects related to digital collections, digital cultural heritage access, and digital preservation. The position provides consulting services, leads and project‑manages digitization and digital collection workflows, and works closely with the library cyberinfrastructure team on technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide consulting services and project manage digitization and digital collection workflows.
Work collaboratively with the library cyberinfrastructure team on technology solutions.
Advise and integrate born‑digital and post‑custodial collections into DAMs and other digital collection workflows.
Lead the Digitization Services Steering Committee, collaborating closely with the Digitization Services Specialist, the Metadata Librarian, SCUA Curators and Archivists, library stakeholders, and the California Digital Library (CDL) support team.
Administer and ensure interoperability and continuity across DAMS (e.g., Nuxeo), discovery platforms (e.g., Calisphere, JSTOR, Omeka, CDNC), and preservation services (e.g., Merritt).
Finalists may be asked to provide a short presentation to a few Library stakeholders on professional management activities.
Qualifications Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. This position does not sponsor or issue visas for employment. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
