Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure‑Track, Research – Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (HNS)
Department: Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School – Otolaryngology
Classification: Tenure‑track, rank at associate professor (2025).
Salary: Minimum base of $114,622, with eligible faculty practice and competitive benefits. The final salary will reflect qualifications, experience, and grant support.
Posting Summary The Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences invites applications for a tenure‑track position in clinically based translational auditory research, starting on or before July 1 2025. Applicants should have postdoctoral experience and independent NIH funding (e.g., R01 grants). The research focus will be on the neural circuits underlying sensorimotor learning and how contextual factors influence learning and knowledge expression.
Responsibilities
Develop a highly collaborative, externally funded research program on auditory neuroscience and sensorimotor learning.
Conduct clinically relevant, translational auditory research.
Engage in scholarly teaching and service consistent with the mission of Rutgers and the Division of Otolaryngology.
Qualifications
PhD in a relevant field (neuroscience, audiology, physiology, or related discipline).
Postdoctoral training and a record of independent NIH funding (e.g., R01).
Demonstrated capacity to establish a significant research program in auditory neuroscience.
