Job Description This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best‑in‑class software experiences. This role supports the incident response team, leading triaging of complex incidents, driving problem resolution and supporting critical cloud‑based controls and governance work related to tagging, cloud metrics and automation. The position will grow knowledge through demos and 1:1 coaching. It is a senior position in the Cloud Operations area where engineering expertise, outside‑the‑box thinking and striving for new approaches will be critical.

Essential Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, operate and maintain products.

Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production‑ready and testable code.

Create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; consider scalability, reliability and performance.

Analyze failures, propose design changes and encourage operational improvements.

Make sound design and coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.

Apply feedback from code reviews to meet standards.

Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.

Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.

Embed software reliability engineering standards in development practices.

Contribute to emerging technology opportunities and best practices supporting the bank’s technology transformation.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Five to six years of relevant technical experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience designing and engineering enterprise‑scale cloud architecture; expertise in microservices.

Microsoft AZ 900 certification (good to have).

DevOps pipeline experience.

Previous experience migrating enterprise applications to public cloud, preferably Azure.

Experience designing and implementing solutions that integrate with internal or vendor platforms.

Strong Python coding skills.

Experience with open‑source technologies such as Java, C#, Spring Boot, Kafka, and containerization.

Previous development experience with React (preferred).

Proven ability to design complex distributed applications built for high performance, throughput, scalability and reliability.

Experience using modern and functional programming styles.

Excellent code hygiene and habits.

Expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture and engineering best practices in an agile environment.

Location Expectations The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an in‑office expectation of three or more days per week and flexibility to work outside the office for the remaining days. Salary & Range The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location (listed first). The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $111,605.00 – $131,300.00.
