Job Summary Our rapidly growing company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to identify and close new customers for fire protection services. This role focuses on selling new inspection contracts for fire sprinklers, fire alarms, backflow preventers, fire extinguishers, kitchen hood and special hazard systems. The ideal candidate will prospect new clients, conduct cold calls, perform site visits, and manage the full sales cycle while collaborating with the inspection department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prospecting for new customers by cold calling and visiting client sites.
Tracking activity in our CRM system and scheduling follow‑up tasks (Salesforce).
Accurately gathering and cataloging new client contact and equipment information.
Performing site visits at client facilities to assess needs.
Providing quotes for new clients in a timely manner using our CRM system.
Closing sales and transferring sales information to the inspection department.
Ensuring all tasks and leads are followed up on in a timely manner.
Attending networking events and social marketing events to gain contacts.
Working seamlessly on large accounts.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and presentable vehicle required.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3+ years of business‑to‑business sales experience.
Previous experience in the fire sprinkler industry is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude or prior fire life safety experience is preferred.
Self‑starter with strong communication skills and a proven record of accomplishments.
Previous experience with Salesforce or another equivalent CRM system preferred.
Computer Skills
Significant experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) applications required.
