Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full‑time associates in this role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefit eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Veterans, transitioning active‑duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply. Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N‑400) application costs, up to $725, less applicable taxes and withholding, for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations, associate relations, resident and family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.

Create and execute the business plan, develop a team to become a preferred senior living community, and grow revenue and profitability in partnership with the district team.

Work with sales to drive sales results.

Create an inclusive community culture that provides high‑quality resident experiences and care and engages residents, families, and associates.

Operate as a hands‑on leader, supervising, directing, and motivating community staff; encourage teamwork and collaboration.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs and legal requirements.

Attract, develop, engage, and retain associates per company policy; recruit and hire high‑quality, engaged staff and provide training and development.

Maintain positive resident relations, be proactive in problem solving, and lead resident satisfaction efforts.

Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure appropriate care and services for assisted living or memory care communities.

Oversee admissions, healthcare management, and resident documentation compliance.

Demonstrate financial acumen: meet or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability; explore revenue enhancement and expense reduction.

Drive sales and marketing efforts, develop leads, and build strategic relationships to maximize revenue.

Build positive relationships with local influencers, community groups, and governmental agencies.

Ensure property standards through preventative maintenance and inspections.

Enforce company policies and maintain applicable licenses.

Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of two years in operational leadership experience required. Additional years of experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements Must have a valid administrator license in states where required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

Management/Decision‑Making Uses analytic skills and understanding of the organization and the business to handle arising problems and issues. Demonstrates leadership skills to be responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of the organization, industry, and functional discipline.

Extensive understanding of technical areas gained through experience and used to complete and/or oversee assignments.

Familiarity with Microsoft software.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks.

Ability to delegate assignments based on skills, roles, and interests.

Demonstrates good judgment and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Talking or hearing.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Vision requirements.

Interaction with co‑workers, residents, or vendors.

Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed.

On‑call as needed.

Possible exposure to communicable diseases, infections, blood‑borne pathogens, latex, and chemical or biological hazards.

Occasional travel and driving (Tier 2).
